Finou

The hormone of love is to be found in a short but fluffy tail!
Oxytocin is a hormone produced by the organism and acts as a neurotransmitter – it carries chemical “messages” to the brain. It is one of the hormones that the organism has in its arsenal in order to balance out the stress hormones, like cortisol. Oxytocin is also called the hormone of love because its production is reinforced by (and reinforces) our relations to other beings. Its production is also connected with the sense of touch.
Cats cause oxytocin to be released in the brain. Oxytocin is the hormone that acts as a magnificent healing agent to the body. As you play with your cat, serotonin and dopamine are released in the brain thereby reducing stress, placing the body in a state of harmony and stabilising the immune system.
Do you want to raise your oxytocin level, do you want to feel loved? Do you wish you could be more connected with the others? Or do you seek pain relief and lower stress levels?
Then you are ready to adopt our Minou – her purring on your chest and the petting on her tummy are sure to initiate an endless production of oxytocin, the hormone of love!
