Bandit was found during the first lockdown. It was late evening and the streets were empty due to Lockdown. So it was not very difficult for us to see that something was wrong with this cat’s walking. Bantit was born with 3 legs.
For him, everything was more difficult than it is for the rest of the cats in the street. He could not jump with grace on the bins to find food. He could not run when he was chased. With this peculiarity he grew up and learned from an early age to protect himself by the dangers, whether these were, dogs or people.
From the first day at his foster home he showed his intentions. He trusted cats, even those who had seen for the first time, but not people. With cats, he was so nice that he let them eat first, even from the bowl that was meant for him. He has probaly learned that in the street, the most powerful one rules and having a leg less, made him clear that the powerful one was not him. Bandit is one of those shadow cats. He is used to hiding and that he still does. And maybe one day he will understand. Maybe he will see that all people are not the same. Maybe he will find the one who will understand him and love him for what he is …. a scared creature. This special someone we are looking for him.
For Bandit, we are ideally looking for a home with a secure garden or a big secure balcony as he doesn’t love to be only indoors. Ideally, we would love him to have many cats company or even kittens as he is extremely friendly with any of them!
